Toby sticking his tongue out and pulling a silly face

I ended last week’s post by saying that I hoped the school runs would be dryer this week, and that Toby had done really well and hadn’t cried going into school at all. On the whole the school runs were less wet I think but on Thursday we got absolutely soaked walking to school, which ended up with Toby in hysterics because he was so wet! Read more

Siblings // Toby and Gabe in November (2017)

Siblings sharing a snack

I can’t believe another month has gone by already! Although saying that we’ve had a holiday since last month’s Siblings post so the boys have had plenty of time together. I mentioned last month that Toby and Gabe are finally starting to get on a bit better – and that has continued into this month too. Read more

Afternoon bath time fun with Cuddledry

Gabe in his Cuddleroar towel

We haven’t bathed the boys every day since Toby was a baby and we discovered that it dried his skin too much. For a long time now they have only had a bath once or twice a week. We used to do baths before bed but they seemed to take so long and since Toby has started school and Gabe stopped napping they are both so tired by bedtime that baths were just ending up making everyone grumpy. So for the last few months we’ve had a new routine – weekend afternoon bath time fun! Read more

Half term in the Lake District // A week in pictures

Toby driving a tractor

Last week we spent four nights in the Lake District in a little cottage not far from Penrith. We only booked it about a month ago when I decided we needed a holiday having not been away since we went to Bluestone in March.

I’m sure none of you really want to read a blow by blow account of our week away but we took so many pictures that it seems a shame not to share some of them. So here it is, our week in pictures… Read more

Gabey having fun in the woods in the Lake District

And just like that half term is over and it’s back to school today for Toby. I’ve been a bit quiet round these parts after the madness of posting every day in October. We had a brilliant week last week in the Lake District – I’m not going to write too much about it here though because I’ve got a whole post about it coming soon.  Read more

Me & Mine // A Family Portrait (October 2017)

Me & Mine Family Portrait October 2017

October has been a busy month for us. Barry and I have had various different nights away, and we’ve managed plenty of family time together too. And now at the end of the month we have finally made it through to half term and we are at the beginning of a few days away in a lovely cottage in the Lake District. Read more

What makes a good Pinterest Pin? // My top five

What makes a good Pinterest pin? My top 5 pins

I have to admit that Pinterest is still a bit of a mystery to me. I mean, I understand it and I know it is basically a search engine, but I haven’t quite figured out how to make it drive traffic to my blog yet. It’s just another one of those things that seems to need a lot of time put into it, and at the moment that’s time I don’t have! Read more

Living Arrows 44/52 (2017)

Finally, we made it through the last week of school and it’s half term! Toby has been so tired the last week, I’ve had to wake him up a few mornings, he’s been getting upset for no reason, he’s been wetting his pants a lot, and on Wednesday he managed to fall over at school four times! He’s now full of a cold and we’re going away today for a few days in the Lake District but I hope he manages to get some rest and recover while we’re away. Read more

Ten things I love - Instagram accounts

I love Instagram (most of the time) and it’s the social media platform I’ve focused most of my energy on for the last year. I’ve written before about how I use Instagram for microblogging, although I haven’t been posting quite as regularly of late. I’m even embracing Instagram stories when I remember!

Anyway, today isn’t about me, rather I’m going to share 10 Instagram accounts that I love to follow, and that I think you should too! Read more
