The lovely Lauren from Scrapbook Blog tagged me in this quick ‘about me’ Q & A post ages ago but with one thing and another I’m only just getting round to writing it. I’ve been rather lacking in inspiration on the blogging front lately (I’ve been writing this blog for four and a half years now, it happens sometimes) so answering a few questions about myself is a relatively easy way to get my typing fingers moving again. It seems like ages since I wrote my February Likes and Loves post, even though it was only four weeks ago. After just five weeks back at school after half term, Toby broke up again for the Easter holidays! We haven’t done an awful lot during March but I’ve still got a few things to share for my #LittleLoves this month.
At the beginning of the year I wrote a post all about my goals and plans for 2018. I came up with 18 things that I wanted to do or achieve this year, and one of them was to have afternoon tea. A lot of people who read the post seemed amazed that I had got to the age of 39 and never had afternoon tea. What is perhaps even more surprising is that my mum had managed to get to 75 and never had afternoon tea either! So we decided it was time we did something about it! Read more

Without further ado then, here’s what I’ve liked, loved and done in February… Read more

I am now only 4 months away from my 40th birthday and although I’m very pleased with the progress I’ve made so far, I’ve still got a way to go to get to where I want to be. I mentioned in my last update that I had been loosely following a 16:8 intermittent fasting plan. Well, since the new year I have found out some more about IF and I am now fully committed to this new way of eating. Read more
I’ve not done one of these Q&A things for a while, in fact probably not since I filmed my 73 Questions last year. So when Sophie from Life As Mrs D was looking for people to pass on this tag to I thought it might be fun to have a go. The eagle-eyed among you may notice as you read through that a few of of the questions are missing – I’ve decided to surreptitiously skip a few of the racier questions, seeing as this is a family friendly blog….and my mum reads it! Before Christmas I was contacted by a journalist who was writing an article about gender disappointment, and whether more women in particular are disappointed to only have children of one gender. She had decided to get in touch with me after seeing my comment on this video by Chloe from Sorry About The Mess. Read more
