These Living Arrows posts seem to be coming round so often at the moment! I think being on holiday has made time both slow down and speed up too somehow! We came back from France yesterday so are mostly spending today just relaxing at home (apart from Barry who was up at 5:30 am this morning to go back to work) – the boys are loving getting to play with all their toys again. Bonjour encore! We’re still in France on holiday at the moment so it’s going to be another quick post from me this week. We’re having a lovely time with a mix of relaxing, playing and exploring. The weather has been great for the most part apart from an epic thunderstorm one night last week which left us without power until the following afternoon! Read more

Hello from hot and sunny France! We arrived in the Dordogne late on Saturday night after a very long journey – our flight from Liverpool was delayed for half an hour which wasn’t too bad but then on take off we hit a bird and had to circle back to Liverpool to have the plane checked. Read more

Well, thankfully after the first few days of fighting Toby and Gabe have settled down a bit and I think got more used to having each other around all the time again. We’ve had a fairly quiet week this last week though. I think the boys needed a bit of time to decompress after the busy last few weeks of school. Read more

One of my favourite things to do when I was younger was to get the big photo albums down from the shelf in my mum and dad’s spare room and look through all the old pictures from when I was little. Of course as a child born in the 70s there aren’t that many photos from my childhood and each album would probably cover a few years. Things are very different now and since the boys were born I have taken literally tens of thousands of my pictures but they are nearly all on my computer and hardly ever get looked at. Read more

We made it to the summer holidays but if I’m being honest it hasn’t been the relief I was hoping for. Since we picked Toby up from school at 2pm on Friday the boys have done nothing but squabble and whinge! I’m really hoping that when the end of term tiredness has worn off a bit they both settle down, otherwise it’s going to be a very long 6 weeks! Read more

I’m just going to write a quick post this week because I’m writing this on Sunday night, it’s late, and I’m shattered after Toby’s birthday party today! Of course this week’s big event was Toby turning five on Wednesday. He was at school for his birthday but he had a great day by all accounts. Read more

I’m going to try and get through this post without mentioning the weather….it is hot though isn’t it? We’ve survived another week – only two more to go to the end of term now and I think we are all counting down the days! Read more

I feel like a bit of a broken record these last few weeks but we’ve really just had another normal, but roasting hot, week this week. The boys have been coping pretty well, and we’re lucky that are bedrooms are at the bottom of our house which is built into a hill and so they stay relative cool at night – I mean, they’re about 23 degrees but it’s certainly bearable. Week 26! Halfway through the year, and I’m a bit late with this week’s Living Arrows update. I don’t know what happened to last week, I think life just got away with me. Toby had two birthday parties at the weekend (and I took Gabe to one of them too) so we didn’t really have much family time. Read more
