I’m not going to write much today seeing as it’s only a few days since I wrote my last post! The boys both did well back at school and nursery at the end of last week, and then we’ve had a fairly busy weekend. They were both definitely shattered by bedtime last night anyway! Read more
Living Arrows
Living Arrows is a weekly linky celebrating childhood. The project originally took its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday I share what we’ve been up to during the past week along with a picture of each of the boys.
I’ve been writing these posts since January 2014 and you can find all of the posts below.

Wow, I’m super late with this week’s Living Arrows post! Since my last posthalf term has been and gone, although Toby and Gabe only went back to school and nursery today. We had a fairly quiet first week; a trip to a play centre, a meal out for my birthday, a visit to the dentist, a visit to my mum and dad’s house where my brother and sister-in-law were staying, and Toby and I went swimming while Gabe had a day at nursery. Actually, when I write it all down it doesn’t seem quiet at all! Read more

It’s going to be another quick post from me this week. The last week of school went by quickly – Gabe has been full of a cold, again, but has been battling through and still enjoyed his days at nursery. Toby had his sports day on Thursday so I went along to watch that, but otherwise the week was pretty uneventful.

I’m quite late with my Living Arrows post this week so I’m going to make it a quick one. As I mentioned last week I was away all weekend at the Flea Retreat (a blogging event that I helped to organise) and I’m only just catching up with everything. Read more

I’m back this week for another Living Arrows post, and it’s one with some very exciting news! Well, it’s exciting if you’re five and you’ve been waiting for your wobbly tooth to fall out since Christmas!! Read more
Living Arrows 18/52 (2019)
This is going to be a very short (and slightly late) Living Arrows post this week. We had a normal week back at school and nursery last week with nothing much of note to report at all. Read more

Time is marching on again now the Easter holidays are done. We just had a short week of school and nursery with only going back on Tuesday, and I know this month will fly with the May Day bank holiday and then half term at the end of the month. Read more

Last week we spent four nights in Derbyshire in a self-catering cottage near Bakewell. We had a really lovely time – the boys slept all night, they played nicely together in the big garden (most of the time) and we had some fab days out while we were there. Read more

Well that’s one week of the holidays done and one to go! We’ve actually had a really good, chilled out week. I’d even go so far as to say this is the best holiday we’ve had since Toby started school, certainly in terms of how well the boys have got on with each other. Read more

We have made it through the last week of term and we’re all definitely ready for the holidays, well except Barry who has got to work for another week before he gets any time off! He has just had three days in London though so I don’t think he can complain too much! Read more
