Living Arrows 22/52 (2019)

Wow, I’m super late with this week’s Living Arrows post! Since my last posthalf term has been and gone, although Toby and Gabe only went back to school and nursery today. We had a fairly quiet first week; a trip to a play centre, a meal out for my birthday, a visit to the dentist, a visit to my mum and dad’s house where my brother and sister-in-law were staying, and Toby and I went swimming while Gabe had a day at nursery. Actually, when I write it all down it doesn’t seem quiet at all!

On Sunday we headed up to the Lake District to make use of my prize from the BlogOn raffle – two nights in a glamping pod on Lake Coniston with Experience Freedom from the Caravan and Motorhome Club.  I’m going to do a full post about our little holiday but mostly the weather was kind and we had a lovely break away together.

As we couldn’t get into our accommodation until 3 pm we decided to go to the Zog Trail at Grizedale Forest. We’ve done the Gruffalo Trail before, as well as Room on The Broom and The Highway Rat trails too so it was only a matter of time before we went to see Zog too.

The trail was fun, but we did get rained on a bit so we probably didn’t do as many of the activities as we might have done if it was dry. Toby and Gabe are often really moany in the rain but they actually both did really well. This is only a pretend grumpy face that Toby is pulling…

We had a really busy second day that I’m not going to talk about too much here – I’ll save it for my proper post. But here’s a picture of Gabe enjoying a ride on a boat across Lake Windermere (he was enjoying it, despite the face!)

On Tuesday we came home and I went straight out again to drive to Huddersfield to see Take That with my friend Claire – we got absolutely drenched but it was a brilliant show as always. I got back on Wednesday lunchtime and then with the boys going back to school today I’m only just getting round to writing this post. Hopefully next week we’ll be back into our routine and back to normal blogging too. I can’t believe we’re in the last half term of the year already though. It’ll be the summer holidays before we know it!
