Keeping the kids clean with Baby Dove

Baby Dove Sensitive Fragrance Free Head to Toe Wash

**This post is in sponsorship with Baby Dove

If you read my post the other week about our afternoon bath routine then you know that we usually only bath the boys once or twice a week. This started when Toby was a baby and we realised that bathing him every day was really drying out his skin. He had quite bad eczema until he was about 18 months, and although it’s cleared up now I’m still very cautious about the products I use on both him and Gabe. I’ve always used Dove soap myself and been very happy with it, so I was keen to see what its two new Baby Dove ranges were like. Read more

Keeping your home warm in winter without spending a fortune

Save on heating bills

It’s likely you’ve felt the air outside. That’s right, winter is upon us, and biting at our ankles with cold. This can make us feel less comfortable in our home, especially if we have a lack of heating there. Heating a home through a central heating unit can be costly, and sometimes we don’t have that excess money to spend. In order to act responsibly with your bills, it’s important to keep in mind exactly how to live appropriately with heat in mind. Can you warm yourself without spending too much money? Can you keep your home the bastion of comfort it deserves to be without shredding your wallet of the money you’ve already spent this last Christmas? Read more

Living Arrows 1/52 (2018)

Toby enjoying a winter walk with his Dinosaur Hunting Kit

It’s a little late in the day but I couldn’t not publish my first Living Arrows post of 2018 on the first Monday of the year. Hopefully after this week I can get back to my posts being a bit more timely! If you read my last Living Arrows post you’ll know that I have been taking part in this linky since it started in January 2014 which means we are now heading into our fifth year of weekly pictures of the boys! Me & Mine // A Family Portrait (December 2017)

December 2017 Me & Mine family portrait

And just like that 2017 is done. 12 months, 12 Me & Mine pictures. I love this project for making sure we have a family picture from every month, because I know we definitely wouldn’t have them without it.

December was just all about the lead up to Christmas for us – now Toby is at school the preparation starts early! They were practising for the nativity for weeks, and Toby made a very impressive cow. He didn’t actually sing for most of it but he did very well at joining in with all the actions. We also had a Christmas fair to go to, and he had a Christmas party too. Safe to say we had one very excited and very exhausted boy come Christmas Eve. Read more

Looking back at 2017 // Hopes, plans and goals

2017 Goals - How did I do?

Back in January last year I wrote a post about my hopes, plans and goals for 2017. Now I have to be honest and admit I never really looked at it again for the rest of the year but I did kind of have some of the things in the back of my mind as the year went on.

Anyway, I decided that before I started making some new plans for 2018 I would take a look back and see how I got on with my 2017 goals, plans and hopes…

Siblings // Toby and Gabe in December (2017)

Gabe thinks his brother is the best thing ever

So here we are in December and we’ve made it to the end of another year of Siblings posts, even if I did miss out a few months at the start of the year! I’m a couple of days late with this month’s post though – which is partly because I didn’t really have any pictures of Toby and Gabe, but also because I couldn’t think of anything very positive to say! Would a lottery win change your Christmas?

Would Christmas be different if you won the lottery?

**This is a collaborative post

Do you ever wonder what life would be like if you won the lottery?  I remember when the UK National Lottery started in 1994 – I had a weekend job in a newsagents at the time and everyone was so excited playing the first few draws. I used to play every week but never won more than about £30. I didn’t play for years and years, and then for a while I would buy the odd EuroMillions ticket but never won. Read more
