Half term is over (well it will be tomorrow – Toby has an INSET day today) and I have to admit we’ve not had the most exciting of weeks. The weather was pretty awful for the first part of the week – we did manage our first ever trip to the library so hopefully we’ll keep that up, and on Wednesday we went to the shop where we got our wedding cupcakes from to get Valentine’s cupcakes for us all. After January lasting for an eternity we seem to have got to the middle of February remarkably quickly! When I wrote last month’s Siblings post Toby had only been back at school a week and it’s already half term! He’s only back at school for another five weeks and then it will be the Easter holidays – I have a feeling the rest of this school year is going to absolutely fly by. Read more
So we made it to half term! Last week was another quiet one really – we really don’t do much during the week when the boys are at school and preschool apart from their usual swimming lessons. We did have Toby’s first proper parents’ evening on Thursday night though, and we came away feeling very proud. Read more

January feels like it has been the longest month ever – but despite that we still didn’t manage to get a family picture until today, when it was already February! We’ve had a fairly quiet month just getting used to the back to school routine. And now we’re back into the swing of things it’s only just over a week until half term! Read more
Welcome back to my Fit by 40 series. I am now only 4 months away from my 40th birthday and although I’m very pleased with the progress I’ve made so far, I’ve still got a way to go to get to where I want to be. I mentioned in my last update that I had been loosely following a 16:8 intermittent fasting plan. Well, since the new year I have found out some more about IF and I am now fully committed to this new way of eating. Read more
Is it just me or has January been the longest month ever?! It’s just been another normal week for us really. The weather has been a bit better this week at least so we’ve managed to walk on a few more school runs. Read more
I’ve not done one of these Q&A things for a while, in fact probably not since I filmed my 73 Questions last year. So when Sophie from Life As Mrs D was looking for people to pass on this tag to I thought it might be fun to have a go. The eagle-eyed among you may notice as you read through that a few of of the questions are missing – I’ve decided to surreptitiously skip a few of the racier questions, seeing as this is a family friendly blog….and my mum reads it!
