Toby on the playground at Speke Hall

Here we are again – so this is going to be my sixth year of taking part in the Living Arrows linky! The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”  and it has seen a few incarnations in the last five years. For the last few years though it has been hosted by the lovely Donna at What the Redhead Said. Read more

Toby's excited face when he realised Father Christmas was on the train with us

I know everyone seems to be saying it this year, but I can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve already! I don’t know about your children but Toby is bouncing off the walls with excitement now. Gabe and his cupcakes

The boys got to wear Pudsey t-shirts for school and nursery this week – they were supposed to wear spots but I always just buy the t-shirts instead. That way I’m donating to a good cause as well as not having to worry about finding them something to wear! Read more

Toby playing on Beacon Fell

If you read my Living Arrows post last week you’ll know we had a lot of tears on the first day back at school and nursery last week. Fortunately it was short-lived and Toby and Gabe were both OK for the rest of the week. Toby went in every day with a big smile on his face and Gabe, despite moaning about not wanting to go to nursery, was absolutely fine when he got there and didn’t even cry when I left him! Read more
