Back in the summer, in the middle of the heatwave I got an email asking if I would like to try the 8K Flexwarm® heated jacket. ‘I would love to’ I replied, ‘but maybe not right now!’ Fast forward to November, and those scorching temperatures are far behind us, so now was the perfect time to test my new heated hooded jacket. Review // Zoom Tubes Car Trax
As we get closer to Christmas I’m always on the lookout for new toys, especially ones that would suit both Toby and Gabe. Finding toys that can be enjoyed by a three year old and five year old together isn’t always easy so when I was asked if we would like to review Zoom Tubes Car Trax I was hopeful that they would fit the bill. Back to school with Bassetts Vitamins Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles
**Post in association with Bassets Vitamins
Like children all around the country Toby and Gabe have just finished their first half term back at school after the summer. And with a return to school comes the tiredness from early mornings and long days. One way I know I can help the boys cope with that tiredness the best they can is to make sure they are getting all the necessary nutrients they need from a healthy balanced diet.
A Lakeland retreat at Croft House with Sally’s Cottages
At the start of October I spent the weekend in the Cumbria with eight other bloggers. We were invited to stay in Croft House near Loweswater by Sally’s Cottages. Croft House is just one of hundreds of self-catering cottages in the Lake District available to rent through Sally’s Cottages. Read more
Little Dragons Cafe on PS4 // Review
My husband is a big fan of video games. He loves playing video games, he loves making video games and, luckily for me, he loves writing about video games! So when I was at BlogOn last weekend I met the lovely people from Rising Star Games. I was given the chance to get my hands on a copy of a new game, Little Dragons Cafe, I knew just where to turn for my review. It’s really a game aimed at children though so Barry roped in a couple of little helpers to see what they thought too… Read more
Superzings Series 2 Collectibles
There are so many collectible toys available these days that it’s hard to know where to start, if you want to start collecting at all! We’ve mostly avoided blind bags and collectibles until this year, but when the Superzings stand appeared in our local Co-op I bought Toby and Gabe one bag each and they were hooked! Read more
Capturing memories with Cheerz // Win £25 to spend on photo products
One of my favourite things to do when I was younger was to get the big photo albums down from the shelf in my mum and dad’s spare room and look through all the old pictures from when I was little. Of course as a child born in the 70s there aren’t that many photos from my childhood and each album would probably cover a few years. Things are very different now and since the boys were born I have taken literally tens of thousands of my pictures but they are nearly all on my computer and hardly ever get looked at. Read more
Top tips for surviving with a toddler in a plaster cast
If you’re a regular reader then you may know that Gabe managed to break a bone in his foot by jumping off the sofa a couple of weeks ago. After a bedtime trip to A & E he ended up in a plaster cast to below his knee. We were actually really lucky that it healed quickly and he only had the cast on for 11 days but I thought I’d share a few tips for coping with a toddler in a plaster cast. Read more
Toddler swimming with Puddle Ducks // 4 weeks on
Last month Gabe started swimming lessons in the Kickers class with Puddle Ducks West Lancs. I wrote about how we were getting on after the first two lessons, and to be honest it wasn’t going well! This was nothing at all to do with the lessons themselves I hasten to add – it’s just that Gabe is not a fan of new things and going in the pool was not something he was eager to do! Read more
