Another week gone already! On Monday and Tuesday Toby was still off school but Gabe was back at preschool so it was nice to spend a bit of time with my big boy. He had a friend from school round to play on Monday morning which was lovely, and meant I got chance to have a bit of adult conversation too! Read more

It’s been half term here this last week (and actually Toby doesn’t go back to school until Wednesday. We’ve actually packed quite a lot in this holiday. I sometimes feel guilty if we don’t do much with time off from school but that definitely hasn’t been the case this week. Read more

I’m a bit late with ts week’s Living Arrows post after spending a busy bank holiday/ birthday weekend with my family. We had a lovely afternoon out for on my birthday yesterday but I’m going to save the photos from that for next week. Last week was the last week of school before we got to a much needed half term break. Read more

I don’t know about you but it feels like the weeks are absolutely flying by at the moment. Last week we had the school summer BBQ, and next week it’s sports day. Then we’re into half term, and my 40th birthday! The weather has been so lovely lately too so it’s really starting to feel like summer. Read more

Crikey, 20 weeks through the year already! The last few months just seem to have flown by, it’s only a couple of weeks to half term now, and after that we’ll be on the countdown to the summer holidays! At least the weather seems to have been getting a bit more summery lately too! Read more

Well after last weekend when we didn’t have the best of times this last week has been much calmer. Gabe went into preschool without any tears all week and Toby had a happy week at school too. Both boys had good swimming lessons too so it’s been a much better week all round really. Read more

After a few busy weekends with both Barry and I having trips away, this weekend we were looking forward to spending some time together as a family. Unfortunately the best laid plans and all that… I mean nothing went disastrously wrong but we didn’t have the best weekend either. Read more

After another normal week here in the Toby Goes Bananas house (albeit a very busy one for me) I went away on Thursday night to The Retreat, a blogging event down in Somerset. This meant I left Toby and Gabe under Barry’s watchful eye for three nights, and three full days, which I think is the longest I have ever left them before. Read more

We’ve had a relatively quiet week as we’ve settled back into the school routine. Monday morning  was pretty uneventful really, and I think Toby and Gabe were glad to get back to the familiar, even if they did moan about it a bit! Read more

And so the Easter holidays are over. It’s been a long two weeks but we’ve had some great times (and plenty of squabbles too!) – I can’t say I won’t be pleased to have a bit of time back to myself tomorrow morning when Toby and Gabe are back at school and preschool. Read more
