Another month done and the long hot summer is over. August for us was mostly about our holiday in France. We went to the Dordorgne for two weeks with my parents and brother and sister-in-law and it was fab. We celebrated Gabe’s third birthday while we were away – I wonder if it will be the first birthday he really remembers when he’s older? The two weeks since we came home have been very quiet with us spending a lot of time at home just resting, relaxing and hopefully preparing ourselves for the return to school and nursery next week. Although time is going really fast at the moment it actually feels like it’s been a while since I wrote last month’s Me & Mine post. At the start of this month we were just finishing up half term, and since then we’ve been struggling slightly with general end of term tiredness, and of course the amazing hot weather we’ve been having. I know I keep saying it but time is absolutely flying at the moment, and here we are at the end of May with another month done. It’s half term at the moment, and I can’t believe that when Toby goes back to school next week we’ll only have seven weeks until the summer holidays and the end of his first year at school! Read more
The first week of April was the second week of the Easter Holidays for us and after our holiday to Yorkshire the week before we had a fairly quiet week at home. After that it was back to school and preschool for Toby and Gabe, and back to the normal routine. Read more
So, another month gone and we are now a quarter of the way through the year! March was a fairly quiet month for the most part. After a speedy recovery from his broken foot Gabe had his plaster cast taken off at the very beginning of the month (and was back to jumping off the sofa again within a few hours!) Read more
Well I’m a couple of days late with my Me & Mine post this month. This is mostly because February has absolutely flown by, I know it’s a short month but I’m sure it was January two seconds ago! And then you may have seen on my social media and maybe this week’s Living Arrows post that Gabe broke his foot at the start of last week so we’ve not had much chance to get out and about.
January feels like it has been the longest month ever – but despite that we still didn’t manage to get a family picture until today, when it was already February! We’ve had a fairly quiet month just getting used to the back to school routine. And now we’re back into the swing of things it’s only just over a week until half term! Read more
And just like that 2017 is done. 12 months, 12 Me & Mine pictures. I love this project for making sure we have a family picture from every month, because I know we definitely wouldn’t have them without it.
December was just all about the lead up to Christmas for us – now Toby is at school the preparation starts early! They were practising for the nativity for weeks, and Toby made a very impressive cow. He didn’t actually sing for most of it but he did very well at joining in with all the actions. We also had a Christmas fair to go to, and he had a Christmas party too. Safe to say we had one very excited and very exhausted boy come Christmas Eve. Read more
