It’s been a quiet week here. Barry and I have both had covid so other than dropping the boys at the school gate and picking them up at the end of the day we haven’t been anywhere or done anything! Thankfully Toby and Gabe seem to have avoided catching it again after they had it at Christmas and hopefully that’ll be it for us for a while now at least!

If you read last week’s post you’ll know we went away camping at the weekend. It wasn’t looking great when the rain started on Friday afternoon, and it was still raining when we packed the car and set off after tea. But by the time we arrived at our campsite at 7 pm the rain had stopped and we had a glorious weekend of sunshine and fun with friends.

After our stay in Yorkshire in the first week of our Easter holiday the second week was a bit more chilled. We had a few pyjama days at home as well as a couple of days out. Sometimes the school holidays seem to fly by but it actually feels like we’ve had a decent break this time, and it helps to know we’ve got a few four day weeks coming up in the next half term too!

I can’t quite believe another week has passed and we’re now over half way to the Easter holidays! We’re very much on covid watch here again at the moment as cases in the boys’ school are higher than they’ve ever been. Last week there were 10 cases in Toby’s class alone! I know they boys only had it at Christmas but from what I’ve seen that’s no guarantee they won’t catch it again. All we can do for now is cross our fingers and keep testing…
