It’s been a quiet week here. Barry and I have both had covid so other than dropping the boys at the school gate and picking them up at the end of the day we haven’t been anywhere or done anything! Thankfully Toby and Gabe seem to have avoided catching it again after they had it at Christmas and hopefully that’ll be it for us for a while now at least!
Yesterday I did take the boys to Street Monkeys. I still had a very faintly positive LFT but current government guidance says you only need to stay away from people for five days, and it had been a week since my first test. I did keep my mask on and stay away from other people as much as I could.
I took the big camera with me this week – we just bought a telephoto lens and I wanted to try it out. I still need some practice at getting fast moving in children in focus but I’m still pleased with the pictures I got.
Gabe took a bit of a tumble at the start of his session and managed to carpet burn both his knees. We had quite a lot of tears but after putting some plasters on I was super proud that he went back and carried on with the rest of his session.
That’s all for this week. I can’t believe we’ve only got two weeks until half term – it seems to have gone so quickly since Easter. We’ve got a busy week at school with Sports Day on Thursday and then Jubilee Celebrations on Friday so I’m sure it will be the weekend before we know it!
This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .

Oh no! Covid! Sorry lovely, I hope you’re now both on the mend x
Carpet burn is so sore, bless him! Good job on the new lens shot! Hope you’ve had a better week this week? x
Oh bless him and his knees hope they are fully recovered now. They are great shots! I can’t believe how quickly half term has come round and I’m not ready for it at all!
