You want your family home to be a safe haven for you and your loved ones. You want it to have a great atmosphere. You want to be relaxed, happy, content – all of those good things when you’re all spending time in there together. Perhaps your family home doesn’t feel like that right now, or you just want to make some changes to ensure you’re all feeling as great in it as possible. Read more
The first week of April was the second week of the Easter Holidays for us and after our holiday to Yorkshire the week before we had a fairly quiet week at home. After that it was back to school and preschool for Toby and Gabe, and back to the normal routine. Read more
After a few busy weekends with both Barry and I having trips away, this weekend we were looking forward to spending some time together as a family. Unfortunately the best laid plans and all that… I mean nothing went disastrously wrong but we didn’t have the best weekend either. Read more

At last estimate the cost of raising a child to the age of 21 comes at a cost of nearly a quarter of a million pounds. Read more
And so the Easter holidays are over. It’s been a long two weeks but we’ve had some great times (and plenty of squabbles too!) – I can’t say I won’t be pleased to have a bit of time back to myself tomorrow morning when Toby and Gabe are back at school and preschool. Read more
