Living Arrows 40/53 (2018)

I swear I only wrote last week’s Living Arrows post two minutes ago – I don’t know where the time is going at the moment. I’m sure the boys only just went back to school and nursery but it’s October already, and half term in three weeks!

This weekend I was determined that we were going to get out of the house, at least for a little bit. Toby and Gabe have been really tired since going back to school so we’ve mostly been spending the weekends at home to let them relax and recover. The sun was shining this weekend (well some of the time anyway) so we decided to go to a local cafe for some cake and a play on their outdoor play area.

There was a great wooden play frame thing – and for once it was actually suitable for both Toby and Gabe. There was plenty for them to do but it wasn’t too high, or difficult so we didn’t have to keep helping them.  Gabe was loving pretending to be a pirate and looking through the telescope – I love his funny face in this picture. Randomly when we were there one of Toby’s friends from school came with her parents and her little brother, who is the same age as Gabe. It was lovely to see them all playing together.

Toby with a lovely smile

You can almost see on this picture that the new tooth is coming through in the gap where he lost his baby tooth in the summer. What you can’t see is that the ones either side of it are wobbly now too. I think we’re going to be seeing a gappy smile from this one for the foreseeable!

  1. I know exactly what you mean. I was thinking exactly the same thing!! Sounds like a greta play area. We struggle with the same issue because of the age gap between the boys. Hope the teeth falling out go okay, we’ve not lost any yet and I am dreading it xx #Livingarrows
