Hey everyone, we’re still here, still covid-free for now! We’re all getting more and more tired though, and definitely ready for the holidays… only a week and a half to go and we’re crossing everything that we actually get to go on our holiday this year after moving it from last Easter, and the one before!

I can’t quite believe another week has passed and we’re now over half way to the Easter holidays! We’re very much on covid watch here again at the moment as cases in the boys’ school are higher than they’ve ever been. Last week there were 10 cases in Toby’s class alone! I know they boys only had it at Christmas but from what I’ve seen that’s no guarantee they won’t catch it again. All we can do for now is cross our fingers and keep testing…

It’s only a few days since I wrote my last Living Arrows post so I’ve not really got much to report! After a lovely World Book Day on Thursday with Toby winning the prize for his year group, Gabe then came home on Friday with a Star of the Week certificate so there were celebrations all round in our house!

So I’m cheating a little bit with this post. Really I should be sharing pictures from last week, but I didn’t take any… so instead I’m going to show you the World Book Day pictures I took today, and I’ll try and make sure I take some more photos this weekend for next week’s post.

Last week was our half term and after a weekend at Cub and Beaver camp we spent a few days in the Lake District. We were staying in a cottage not far from Keswick, and despite some pretty miserable weather it was lovely to get away and spend some time away from home. I was definitely grateful that I made it through another half term without catching covid and we didn’t have to cancel any of our plans!

OK, so this post is so late it’s almost time for next week’s already! One of these days I’ll actually get into a proper routine and start posting them on time again… Anyway, we’ve been away in the Lake District this week but I’m going to save those photos for next week’s post. This week’s were taken when we were on Cub and Beaver camp last weekend.

I’ve just realised it’s almost Friday and I still haven’t written my Living Arrows post for this week! I’ve not much to say again, we are all crawling towards half term – we’re definitely ready for a break and I’m just glad it’s next week and not the week after like a lot of other places.

I’ve not got much to say this week – life carries on, and I have dodged covid for another week! Actually, I do have some big news this week. After being wobbly for months, Gabe’s front tooth finally came out after he somehow managed to knee himself in the face on Tuesday!

Here we are again, another week done, and another week of negative lateral flow tests for us! The virus is rife at school at the moment, and even though the boys only had it at Christmas I’m still conscious that they could easily get it again. And even though I avoided it when they had it, I don’t know if I’m going to dodge it again… only time will tell I guess!

We made it through our first full week back at school. Well, actually only the boys did a full week, I wasn’t in on Wednesday as it was my Dad’s funeral. It was a hard day, but so many people came and it was actually lovely to catch up with loads of people that I’ve not seen for years. I just wish it could have been in happier circumstances!
