And just like that half term is over and Toby and Gabe are back to school this morning. We’ve actually had a really good week off – the weather has been pretty horrible but we managed a good mix of going out and staying in, and hopefully the boys are feeling rested and ready for another six weeks of school before the next holiday!

Last October we visited the Farmageddon Glow Trail at Whinlatter Forest in the Lake District. I didn’t write about it at the time but with the release of A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon on DVD (affiliate link) last week I thought this was the perfect time to share our experience.

We made it! It’s half term and I think we are all ready for it. The boys survived the last week of term without any drama though, apart from having to start wearing their new school shoes and Gabe complaining that his ‘felt funny’!

I usually write these update posts right after the boys’ birthdays but somehow I’ve ended up being rather late with this one! Toby’s birthday back in July, and his Forest School party, seems an age ago now. We’ve had a whole summer holiday and a full term at school since then, but I couldn’t let a year go by without writing one of these updates that I’ve been doing since Toby was four months old!

We have made it through another week, only 5 more days to go before we get to half term, and I think we’re all ready for the break! Toby and Gabe had a fun day at school on Friday for NSPCC Number Day, getting to wear their own clothes and doing lots of maths activities during the day.

Well, I didn’t quite manage to publish a Me & Mine post at the end of January but I’m here now, and two days late isn’t too bad! We didn’t have any big family adventures this last month. It’s mostly been about school, work, swimming lessons and a few birthday parties for the boys.
