It’s the 15th of the month which means we’re back with another Siblings Project post. It feels like it’s been quite a while since I wrote last month’s post. We survived the end of half term, the boys went back to school and preschool, we went on a snowdrop walk, Gabe broke his foot (and healed again) and here we are only a week and a bit from the Easter holidays!
This first picture was taken when we went to walk round the snowdrop woods at Lytham Hall. It is almost impossible to get Toby and Gabe to pose for a picture these days, but I actually love the ones we get with the silly expressions and the funny faces….
The end of February was quiet for us – Gabe broke a bone in his foot by jumping off the sofa on the 19th and was up to his knee in a plaster cast so we couldn’t really get out much. Toby was actually a really good big brother (for the most part) while Gabe was in his cast – he was a bit more gentle with him than usual, and refrained from jumping about too much himself because he knew Gabe couldn’t.
Thankfully toddler bones heal remarkably quickly and after just 11 days Gabe’s cast was taken off and we were able to get out and about again. On Mother’s Day we went to a local park for the boys to have a run about and get some fresh air.
They are getting much better at playing together these days – although despite appearances in this picture they only actually stayed on this see saw together for approximately 3.7 seconds! In the last month or so Toby and Gabe are actually talking to each other a lot more – it’s so cute listening to them chatting away to each other. A lot of it is Toby telling Gabe what to do or what to play, but he doesn’t seem to mind most of the time.
This last picture is another one from Mother’s Day – at the park there are these wooden shelters in the woods. As I already mentioned getting the boys to pose together and both look at the camera at the same time is next to impossible, so we ended up with this one…
In another week and a half it will be the Easter holidays – we’re going to Yorkshire for a few days so hopefully we’ll have some more outdoor photos to share for next month’s Siblings post.
