Now the boys are back at school I never feel like I have very much to say in these weekly posts. Life just speeds along when we’re in our normal routine of school five days a week. So far there haven’t been any Covid cases in the boys school so I’m hoping it stays that way!
School really takes it out of the boys – they are always so tired at the weekends that they don’t really want to do anything. So on Saturday they had a PJ day with some TV, Playdoh and time on the Switch, with a bit of homework thrown in.
Yesterday they had their swimming lesson on the morning and then we spent a bit of time in the garden in the afternoon. It was a lovely sunny day, just a bit chilly, and Gabe had wanted to play with a bubble making set he got for his birthday last month.
I’m still practising using our DSLR on manual – I still take lots of out of focus rubbish pictures but occasionally I manage to get a few good ones too…
This coat was Toby’s but as Gabe has finally out grown the winter coat he got when he was two it was time to get this one back out of the cupboard for him to wear. He is still wearing a hat he’s had since he was about one though!
I can’t believe we’ll be heading into October this week. It doesn’t seen two minutes since the boys went back to school! We’ve got another four weeks before half term though so we’re only half way there. I just hope school manages to stay open for that long!
I hope you’ve had a good week and the weather was kind to you this weekend too. I’ll be back next week with another Living Arrows update.
This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .
If you’d like to see the rest of my Living Arrows posts you can find them all here.
Haha I feel exactly the same – now the kids are at school and knackered the rest of the time I have nothing to say each week either!! Lovely photos 🙂 I am nowhere near brave enough to try my camera on Manual haha! #livingarrows
Some lovely photographs- I really need to get back to using my DSLR, i’m lazy and tend to use my phone a lot!

My girls are really tired too, school is taking it out of them every week and we’re just relaxing at the weekend x
Mine are really tired and just want to be at home all weekend. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the 3 that are in school! Hope you’ve had a good week? x
These photos look great! I keep meaning to get a bubble rope thingy although will probably wait until next year now. Mine are bother shattered too, there’s lots of rest going on here. x
