I’m a bit late with my Me & Mine post for July (so what’s new?) – mostly because once again I wasn’t organised enough to get any family pictures during the month so we ended up having an impromptu photo shoot in the garden yesterday instead!
July was quite a busy month for us. It was Toby’s 6th birthday (and I still haven’t written about that yet either!), a joint forest school birthday party for both boys, Gabe finished at nursery, Toby finished Year 1 and then we’ve managed to get through the first two weeks of the summer holidays!
I’ve got so many blog posts I need to write and just haven’t got round to. I’m so used to having some time during the week now that I find it really hard to motivate myself to do anything in the evenings once the boys are in bed. And quite frankly, their behaviour is so exhausting at the moment that I just don’t have the energy to do anything except flop on the sofa watching TV once they’re finally asleep!
Anyway, I promise that I will eventually write a post about their birthday party, and Toby’s 6th birthday update, and I’m sure there was something else too but I can’t remember what at the moment… but I digress…
As we hadn’t managed to take any family pictures on any of our days out this month, and I didn’t want another phone selfie, we set the camera up in the garden yesterday, replaced the batteries in the remote and just started clicking…
And that was the results! These boys are driving me completely insane at the moment, and I can’t wait for September and the return to the school routine…. but I do love them and our little family.
Now I’ve just got two more weeks of holidays to get through before we head off to France and hopefully the change of scenery will help stop the boys constantly fighting… well I can hope right?
This is the sixth year of taking Me & Mine family portraits every month. You can see all the rest of the posts here.
