Here we are again, another month done. August saw Gabe turn two years old, we had a small BBQ for family and friends to celebrate both boys’ birthdays, Toby has started swimming lessons and we’ve moved closer and closer to the day when my only just four year old will start school!

Last August we had only just moved into our house. The boys had just started nursery and we were slowly finding our feet in our new home town. We are well and truly settled now – we got a new kitchen diner in the winter but apart from that our house hasn’t changed much, in fact we’ve still got some boxes that we haven’t even unpacked yet! We’ve got big plans for the house but we just haven’t got any money to make them a reality yet. Hopefully we might manage our next project soon, which we think is going to be replacing one of our bathrooms.

Anyway, last year we took our Me & Mine picture for August on the bench in our garden – I said then I wanted to make a tradition of always taking our August picture in the same spot, and we have managed to do it for this year.

So last year Toby was three years and one month old and Gabe had just turned one a couple of weeks earlier…

And so to this year – Toby is four and Gabe is two, Barry’s got a bigger beard and I’ve got longer hair… and there are definitely no babies left in this family…

Toby was doing a ‘nice smile’ in that picture which is why he looks a bit odd! And I’m not sure what he was doing in this one. Gabe was loving having his picture taken this month though…

And in this last one Toby was still doing his best to smile for the camera while Barry and I were laughing at Gabe sticking his tongue out!

So I think that’s about it for August. September is going to bring some really big changes for us – with Toby starting school, Gabe going to a new preschool, and hopefully me ploughing even more time into this blog and trying to make something of a living from it. And do you know what? I’m really looking forward to what the next month is going to bring.
