Living Arrows 9/52 (2020)

So February is over and I’m really hoping we’ve seen the back of the horrible weather that we seem to have had for the whole month! The first week back at school went pretty smoothly all things considered, and now the boys are just counting down until World Book Day later this week!

I’ve mentioned it before but we’re so proud of how well Gabe has settled in to school life, and how much he has learnt in just a few months. He has started getting weekly homework now and is always happy to do it. We’re trying to make the most of his enthusiasm while it lasts!

Yesterday Barry took the boys up to see his mum and dad so I could get a few hours to get on with some work. My blog work always seems to be like the proverbial buses – none for ages and then loads comes along all at once so I’m quite busy at the moment.

He took this picture of Toby having a look at his grandad’s train set. He looks so grown up sometimes, it’s hard to believe he’s still only six!

That’s all for this week, I’ll be back next week with some pictures of the boys’ World Book Day costumes. I’ve mostly made them myself and I’m quite proud of my efforts but I don’t want to spoil the surprise so you’ll have to wait until next week to find out what they’re going as!

This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .

If you’d like to see the rest of my Living Arrows posts you can find them all here.

  1. I love how well Gabe has settled into school. It’s such a relief when they take it to it like he has, isn’t it?

  2. I really wish Monkey was enthusiastic about homework, we have started having to link doing it to getting pocket money its got that bad. Can’t wait to see the world book day pictures, I must admit I have taken the easy way out this year
