Here I am again, only a few days since I wrote my last Living Arrows post! I can’t believe we’re on week 48 already, and that it’s December tomorrow! Despite the fact we’ve hardly done anything except work and school for the last few months it seems to have gone by very quickly.
We have so far resisted putting our Christmas tree up – that will be a job for next weekend. We did put the outside lights up yesterday though, and the wreath on the door so things look festive from the outside at least!
Last week the boys wrote their letters to Father Christmas too (although Toby told me he doesn’t think Father Christmas is real anymore – he has been sworn to secrecy though!) On Saturday we walked to the post box and posted them in what has now become a yearly tradition. We always send them to the Royal Mail address so the boys will get a reply in a few weeks.
I’ll be back next week – hopefully with some festive Christmas Tree pictures!
This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .
If you’d like to see the rest of my Living Arrows posts you can find them all here.
We’re putting our tree up this year. By the looks of toby’s face he’s still enjoying the magic of it all x
They look SO cute with the postbox. We have got as far as writing the letters but haven’t posted them yet! x
Ah they look so cute! We wrote our letters this weekend and the girls elf took them to Father Christmas x
Oh love this photo! The elves took the boys letters to Father Christmas but I do love the ones where he writes back. Look forward to seeing the tree pictures
