A week of almost non-stop rain, and a distinct lack of fuel for the cars, has meant we haven’t done anything other than go to school and the boys’ usual clubs and activities. We’ve managed to fill up both cars now at least – so all we need now is for the rain to stop!
Now Toby has moved to the 8-11 group at Street Monkeys, which is the session before Gabe’s, we are there for two and half hours every Sunday. The boys take packed lunches and their tablets to play on so they’re happy. I actually took Toby’s Cub jumper with me last week and made a start on sewing some of badges on now he’s been invested.
We might only be a month into the school term but the boys are both shattered already. I had to wake them up every morning this week which is very usual – they’re normally up as soon as their Gro-clock turns orange at 7 am. They’ve got an Inset day on Monday so another chance for a bit of a lie in – no such luck for me though, I’ve got to go into school!
It’s only 3 weeks until half term though and time seems to be flying at the moment so I’m sure we’ll be there before we know it…
This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .
If you’d like to see the rest of my Living Arrows posts you can find them all here.
I feel your pain – Athena has just moved to a different day’s swimming and so their lessons take SO much time! x
We have a really long afternoon / evening of clubs on Thursdays. These children of our have better social lives than we do hehe! x
We only have one day off a week without a club because of the boys swimming on different days. I am hoping that eventually maybe able to move them onto the same day. Well done for making a start on the badges.
Good idea taking sewing with you. I too can’t believe how quickly half term is approaching. Where did September go!?!
