So here I am with another late Living Arrows post. It’s going to be a short one this week too because I really don’t have much to say, we’re just plodding on now and I’m counting down the days until the boys go back to school next week!
We went to Forest School again on Monday and I was planning on taking some pictures there, but I left my phone in the car and couldn’t be bothered walking back through the field to get it. If I remember next time I’ll take the big camera and get some proper photos.
Because I didn’t have any others I just took this week’s photos while the boys were watching TV. When I very first started these Living Arrows posts back in 2014 I said I was going to use them to help me learn how to use the DSLR camera.
Six and a half years later, and although I now have a fairly good idea how it works I still don’t shoot in full manual mode so I thought I’d have a play with it.
I’m quite pleased with how these photos turned out. There wasn’t a lot of light (because the weather was awful!) so I played around with the settings on the camera and I don’t think I did a bad job!
Oh, and if you were wondering, Gabe hasn’t got a dirty face – that’s a big bruise from the other day when he had a fight with a side table, and the table won!
Until next week then….
This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .
If you’d like to see the rest of my Living Arrows posts you can find them all here.
This is a good reminder that I need to start picking up my camera rather than my iPhone. Your pictures are always so good x #livingarrows
I still never use my camera on manual! You’re better than me! 🙂 x
I never use my camera off manual, I just never have time to sort the settings! x
