Living Arrows 22/52 (2022)

Despite the fact we’re almost at the end of half term already I’m not going to write about what we got up to this week in this post – I’m going to save that for my next one… Instead this week’s photos are from my birthday on Saturday.

We made it through our last week at school, breaking up on Friday and we were definitely ready for a break! It was my birthday on Saturday so I celebrated with a trip to the tip(!) and a bit of shopping.

In the evening we went out for dinner with my mum. Since I met Barry we’ve always had a bit of a joke when we go out to eat – he always asks me ‘do I have to put a shirt on?’ Usually the answer is no but seeing as we were going somewhere a bit posher than usual I said yes this time. And I decided that I would get the boys new shirts to wear too.

They’ve never actually had shirts before, except for school, and I wasn’t sure how they would react but they both loved the shirts I chose for them. They looked very smart too!

We had a lovely meal out and just grabbed these pictures in the car park before we headed home…

We had a quiet day on Sunday before heading off for a few days camping on Monday. I’ll tell you all about that next week though! I hope you’re all having a lovely half term whatever you’re getting up to…

This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .
