I feel like I’m back to not really having much to say in these posts – every week is the same at the moment, and I think we’re all just trying to get through the last few weeks before the summer holidays. Gabe seems very tired and emotional – we have tears about one thing or another at least a few times every day. And Toby’s showing his tiredness with a lot of silly behaviour and winding his brother up at any opportunity!
The boys were at another birthday party this weekend – there are a lot of summer birthdays among their friends, particularly in Toby’s class. It’s his birthday in a couple of weeks too, and then Gabe’s in the middle of the summer holidays, and we haven’t planned anything for them yet. We’re considering a small party in the garden but then you’ve got to rely on the great British weather co-operating!
Anyway, this week’s pictures were just taken at home on Sunday after the boys had been to Street Monkeys then had a bath and some much needed haircuts! Toby was examining the mini-slinky he got in his party bag from the day before…
And I’m not sure what Gabe was up to – that’s one of the legs from the bridge Toby made at Beavers a few weeks ago, although apparently it’s a megaphone now!
I think that’s all for this week – Gabe has got his Sports Day tomorrow that was postponed after it got rained off last week so hopefully next week I’ll have some pictures of that to share. Until next week then…
This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .
If you’d like to see the rest of my Living Arrows posts you can find them all here.
I feel the same as you – not much to report each week! I’m hoping I’ll have more to say when the summer holidays are here x
I’m feeling the same right now! Its just work, school and then chilling to recover from the week! I hope Sports day went ahead? Mine have theirs this week and teh weather looks iffy! x
I am with you on getting through the next couple of weeks. I think everyone including the parents are feeling tired and emotional. Slinkys are always a big hit with my two as well and I hope Sports day went well
Definitely just trying to get through the next few weeks here too! Although I have zero plans for the summer holidays eek!
