I really am running out of things to say in these weekly posts – every day just seems like the last and nothing ever seems to change. I can’t believe we have barely left the house for 10 weeks now!
We’ve been having all the emotions from Gabe this week. I’ve mentioned his struggles before but over the weekend especially he just seemed to be crying about everything.
We did manage to spend a bit of one on one time with the boys in the last few days in the hope it might help. Barry took Gabe for a little walk to the post box on Sunday while I stayed at home and played Connect 4 with Toby. Then yesterday Gabe went out in the garden with Barry for a bit and Toby and I did a jigsaw. It was nice to have a little bit of time with just one of them with out them fighting for my attention – we really should try and do it a bit more often.
We still get outside everyday though, whether it’s on the trampoline (where I took this picture of Gabe having a lie down), or scooters or just playing in the garden. We’re in the process of finding someone to finish all the landscaping in our garden – I can’t wait until it’s done and they have more space to play safely. I’m so grateful for our outside space though, even as it is now, I can’t imagine what lock down would have been like without it.
I don’t know what was going on in this picture of Toby – I just took it the other bed time when he was messing about on our bed. He’s just a bit crackers sometimes!
That’s all from me for this week anyway, I hope you’re keeping safe and staying sane, and I’ll be back next week with another Living Arrows post.
This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .
If you’d like to see the rest of my Living Arrows posts you can find them all here.
I feel exactly the same.. nothing changes. Sounds like you got a great balance and I do think one on one time does seem to have an impact on our boys behaviour too. Hope you had a lovely half term.
One on One time definitely helps our girls too. I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend x
I love your photos this week, they really show the boys’ personalities x
Love a crackers pic! Teddy is having meltdown over everything at the moment. His siblings know exactly what buttons to press with him. It’s pretty exhausting! I hope youve had a nice half term and enjoyed the good weather x #livingarrows
I know exactly what you mean, I feel like I have nothing new to report at the moment! x #LivingArrows
