What was your favourite toy at 5 years old? At 10?

At 5 years old probably my Popples toy, it was purple and I loved it! At 10 it was probably the fashion wheel that I borrowed off a girl up the road. I should probably have given it back by now!

It’s that time of week when another blogger is going to be sharing their childhood memories. This week’s Remembering Childhood comes from Claire at Life, Love and Dirty Dishes.

Which decade were you born in?

The seventies.  Although it was 1979 so I can’t say I really remember anything about the seventies.  I’m more of an eighties child.

What is your earliest memory? How old were you?

Being in an orange paddling pool in the garden.  According to my mum I was two, as our dog Barney punctured the paddling pool.  I have no recollection of our dog Barney.  I believe he went to live on a farm!

What was your favourite toy at 5 years old? At 10?

At 5 it would have been my doll Amy.  She came everywhere with me.  It was one of those dolls with hard limbs and head but a soft body.  I used to think she looked just like a real baby.  At 10 it was probably my Walkman!  I was probably listening to Jason Donovan and Tiffany on it, or some dodgy recordings from the chart show.

What is your earliest memory? How old were you?

I was about three and quite morbidly it was when our pet dog passed away. I don’t remember him dying or anything – just that the vet reversed onto our drive. This was MAJOR as no one ever ever ever reversed into our drive! Bizarre.

What was your favourite toy at 5 years old? At 10?

At 5 I had my cuddly Sylvester from the Loony Tunes who I took absolutely everywhere. At 10 I probably was obsessed with a Tamogotchi! I remember my Dad got me one when he was working in Ireland and my whole class was jealous.

It’s that time of week when another blogger is going to be sharing their childhood memories. This week’s Remembering Childhood comes from Mandy at Raising The Rainbows.

Which decade were you born in?

The 80’s  – the best decade!

What is your earliest memory? How old were you?

It has to be my little sister sat in her high chair screaming her head off and then putting her dinner on her head! It was sausage and mash and she squished it all in her hair, I was about 3 and a half I think.

What was your favourite toy at 5 years old? At 10?

I had a blue fluffy soft toy called Chiggles, when you clapped your hands its eyes lit up and it made a laughing sound. I say laughing but it sounded more like a demented robot. At 10 I loved my Poochie, which was a pink and white dog.
