10 Amazing Apple Recipes

A couple of weeks ago I shared my recipe for Apple Sticky Toffee Pudding – it was so delicious and easy to make that I’m sure I’ll be baking it again soon. I still have a freezer full of apples though and I needed some inspiration to make something other than crumble! So I asked some of my fellow bloggers to share some of their favourite apple recipes and they came up with such a variety of different things I wanted to bring them all together in one post.

Apple Bakes

First up is this fantastic family recipe for ‘Mama’s Apfelkuchen’ from The Bear & The Fox. I love the look of this tray bake, and it looks like a great one to make with the kids too. And as an added bonus this recipe is also gluten-free (although it can also be made with ordinary self-raising flour too).

Next we have have more sticky toffee gooey goodness with this Toffee Apple Bread Pudding with Vanilla Custard from Amy Treasure. This one just looks perfect for autumn nights and with minimal baking involved it would be a super quick and easy recipe to prepare.

The third apple bake I want to share with you is these Apple and Blackberry Crumble Cupcakes from Pink Pear Bear. Now I know I said I wanted an alternative to crumble but these yummy cupcakes aren’t a crumble in the traditional sense so they are definitely allowed!

Another lovely winter warmer is this Apple and Walnut Strudel from Captain Bobcat. Using shop bought filo pastry (and who wouldn’t?) makes this easy to prepare but that doesn’t mean it’s not a crowd-pleaser!

The last bake I want to share is this delicious looking Apple, Maple and Cinnamon Tray Bake from Craft with Cartwright.  I love a tray bake and I love maple syrup so this one is definitely a winner for me. In fact, I think this might be the next apple recipe that I try.

Apple Jams and Chutneys

If you don’t fancy baking a cake or pudding then you could try an apple jam or chutney instead. Motherhood Diaries has this fab Christmas Spiced Apple and Walnut Chutney recipe you could try. Now I have to confess I’m not a big fan of chutney but my husband loves it so maybe I should give this one a try. It’s made in the slow cooker too so it’s super easy!

Or if like me you don’t fancy chutney you could try the apple jam in this post from My Boys Club.

Apple drinks

If you want to do something a bit different with your apples you could have a go at this Spiced Apple Vodka from Mummy Wales. I’ve never tried making my own infused liqueur before but this looks really easy to do. It does need three months to mature though so you’ll be in for a bit of wait before you get to drink it!

Another drink you could try with your apples, but one that’s quite a lot healthier than the vodka, is this Sweet Green Smoothie from My Bump 2 Baby. I love apple juice but I can’t say I’ve ever tried it in a smoothie before. This one is full of fruits and vegetables and I’m sure it must taste great.

And finally

With Halloween just around the corner who doesn’t love a toffee apple? Daisies and Pie has this fab toffee apple recipe – just be careful when you’re making it. I know from experience that boiling sugar is super hot!
