A delicious warm sticky toffee apple pudding - perfect for autumn, and super quick and easy to make. Serve with custard, cream or ice cream
Heat oven to 180 (fan) / 160
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl
Add milk, egg and vanilla extract to melted butter and mix well
Combine wet and dry ingredients to make pudding batter and set to one side.
Grease a large oven proof dish. Peel, core and slice apples and layer on the bottom of the dish.
Pour pudding batter over apples and spread evenly.
Dissolve dark brown sugar in boiling water then pour over pudding mixture.
Bake for 35 - 40 minutes until golden brown and toffee sauce can been seen bubbling up at the edges.
Serve warm with custard, cream or ice cream.
