It’s that time of week when another blogger is going to be sharing their childhood memories. This week’s Remembering Childhood comes from Naomi at Trips with a Tot.
Which decade were you born in?
The 90s – yeah!
What is your earliest memory? How old were you?
I always tell my mum that I can remember being weighed at the doctors as a baby, but she said that isn’t possible to remember that young! So I really don’t know how I know that, because I told her details about what it looked like, where I was weighed, what the doctor looked like, the doctors surgery, etc and everything is correct. So, I must just be weird!
What was your favourite toy at 5 years old? At 10?
At 5 years old I really loved arts and crafts! At 10, I loved music and dancing.. I used to dance to Britney Spears and spice girls music videos, so although those aren’t toys, those were my favourites! And make up.
Do you still have any toys from your childhood?
Unfortunately not!
Who was your favourite pop group/artist as a teenager?
Tough choice between Britney Spears or Spice Girls! I was really mad about Britney though.
What was your favourite TV show(s)?
What was the first film you remember seeing at the cinema?
Oh gosh… I think it was the first Harry Potter! That was so long ago, the cinema I went to to see it isn’t even there anymore.
Do you have any dodgy haircut/ outfit memories that you’d rather forget?
When I was younger it’s sort of a running joke that my mum always used to cut my hair into a mullet!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A vet. I used to “practice” on my cat… I feel so sorry for what I put him through!
If you could go back to being a child again what age would you choose and why?
I really loved the early days of primary school… like 5-8 years old. They were just full of fun school trips, school parties and discos, playing with friends.. and nothing was too serious. I loved those days!
Thanks for sharing your memories Naomi – it makes me feel old that you think the first Harry Potter film was a long time ago – I was 23 when it came out!
