Me & Mine // A Family Portrait (October 2018)

Wow! Where did October disappear to? The boys were off for half term last week but we didn’t do very much. In fact I can’t remember what we’ve done in October at all! I started the month with a weekend away at Croft House in the Lake District with some other lovely bloggers, the following weekend Barry had a night out with his friends and other than that we’ve done a lot of relaxing at home and watching Star Wars films!

Speaking of Star Wars – if you read my Living Arrows post this week you might know we went to Spaceport in Wallasey last week. It’s a space museum but they also had a Star Wars exhibition on so we thought the boys would enjoy it. It wasn’t our most successful day out – Gabe was scared of the people dressed as Star Wars characters when we first arrived and then just moaned until I gave up and took him to the cafe next door.

Despite being scared Gabe did give Darth Vader a high five and have his picture taken with him. In fact Barry joked I should just use this as our Me & Mine picture this month!

Our actually family picture this month was taken after we’d left Spaceport. You can just see the Liver Birds of Liverpool behind us over the other side of the Mersey.

I was trying to set my phone up on a little tripod thing I’ve got when a man stopped and asked if we’d like him to take the picture. Unfortunately Toby was refusing to look at the camera because we wouldn’t buy him any tat from the museum shop, but other than that I think its a pretty good picture of us!

Toby and Gabe are back at school and nursery as we head in November. I’m hoping for a few quiet weeks before the Christmas madness starts in full force!

  1. It’s a lovely photo. So tough getting out of any kids attraction with spending money on tat, we always make a deal with him before going in as gosh you could take out a mortgage to afford all the bits. I hope November has been suitably quieter for you #meandmineproject
