Living Arrows 52/52 (2017)

I’m writing this at 10pm on Christmas Day. The last week passed quickly and uneventfully. The boys (especially Toby) were super excited last night but went to bed without any argument and slept until just after 7am so I can’t complain!

They both loved all their presents (and they got loads!), and we had a lovely Christmas dinner at my mum and dad’s house with them and my brother and sister-in-law. We’re heading up to the Lakes to see Barry’s parents tomorrow and then Christmas will be done for another year!

Gabe’s picture this week was taken this morning as he was heading downstairs to get dressed after all the present opening. He just looked up and Barry caught this lovely shot…

And Toby’s picture was taken in the garden at my parents’ house. He got an absolutely brilliant Dinosaur Finding Kit that my brother had put together for him – it had a trowel, compass, magnifying glass, video camera (a V-tech one that he bought off Ebay), a dinosaur book, some pencils and a bird book (so he could look for some real wildlife too), and it was all in a little canvas bag. Toby absolutely loves it and he couldn’t wait to get outside to go dinosaur hunting (or digging up my dad’s vegetable patch).

In this picture though my dad was pointing out a bird they had just seen so Toby could tick it off in his book…

And so concludes my fourth year of Living Arrows! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and I’ll be back next week (as long as the lovely Donna is going to keep on hosting) with week 1 of 2018.

  1. I want a dinosaur hunting pack! I live about an hour away from the lakes and it is snowing here. I hope it made it’s way over to you as the lakes looks magical in the snow!
