Well, we made it to the end of term, now I’m just crossing everything that we don’t get a message to say either of the boys has to self-isolate this week. We don’t have any big plans but still being in Tier 3 we’re hoping to see my mum, dad and brother on Christmas Day. With the way things are at the moment though anything could change in the next 5 days couldn’t it?

We’ve had another quiet weekend at home since the boys finished school on Friday. I did manage to convince Toby to leave the house on Saturday (on condition he could just put his onesie over his pyjamas!)

We went out to finish a ’12 Days of Christmas’ treasure hunt that had been set around our town by our Scout district. We had to follow various clues to find 12 posters – this one was at our local Scout campsite. It was a bit wet and miserable so we mostly did it from the car but I’m glad we managed to finish it.

Poor little Gabey is still exhausted after a long term at school and all the excitement of Christmas. I grabbed this snap when he was listening to Daddy read a bedtime story last night and you can see how tired he is just looking at him.

Hopefully two weeks off will give him plenty of time to rest and relax and get his energy back before going back to school and whatever 2021 has to throw at us!

I hope everyone reading this manages to have an enjoyable Christmas – I know it won’t be the Christmas many of us are used to, especially for those of you now in Tier 4. I’m trying to stay positive though – with the vaccination programme now underway it does seem like there might be a light at the end of this very long tunnel we’ve all been in.
