Living Arrows 51/52 (2019)

I’m writing this on Christmas Eve and Toby and Gabe are bouncing off the walls with excitement! We’ve already been out to soft play this morning to try and burn off some energy but I’m not sure it’s helped much!

We haven’t really done any Christmassy activities this year, apart from the things they’ve done at school – which with a Christmas fair, Nativity, Elf Run, trip to the panto and Christmas parties was probably plenty!

On Sunday evening though we headed to Dunham Massey National Trust for the Christmas light trail. I know a few people who went last year and it looked amazing so I booked tickets as soon as they went on sale back in June.

We had a really fabulous time and the boys were really well behaved (well, apart from a bit of running off and messing with fences from Toby). It it expensive so it’s not going to become an annual tradition for us but I would definitely recommend it as a one off Christmas treat.

I’m going to leave you with these pictures of the boys in the light tunnel for now. I’ll be back next week with our final Living Arrows post of the year.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas from me and the rest of the Toby Goes Bananas clan!

This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .

  1. I think it sounds like you had a lovely run up to Christmas. I find sometimes you can overload on Christmas before it has properly arrived! Hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas week? #livingarrows
