Living Arrows 49/52 (2017)

Another week gone and now we’re actually in December it feels like Christmas is just around the corner. Toby is busy practising for his school nativity, there’s the Christmas fair on Friday this week, I’ve got a night out with some of the school mum’s next weekend, and Barry’s got two Christmas nights out coming up in the next couple of weeks too.

Toby is very excited about Christmas this year, although luckily hasn’t actually got into the asking for loads of presents part of it yet. Gabe doesn’t really have a clue what’s going on but he likes all the decorations and is enjoying having advent calendar chocolate every morning.

We put the tree up on Saturday, and wrote letters to Father Christmas too (although posting them is today’s job). I wrote Gabe’s for him and he had fun putting some Christmas stickers on it. Toby wrote the things he wanted on his. Only two things made the list fortunately, and with a little bit of steering they are things he’s already getting – a tiny telly (or a Kindle Fire to you and me) and a jungle LEGO set. He is getting a few other things too but we’re trying not to go too crazy with presents this year.

I was trying to take a nice picture of Gabe for this week’s Living Arrows too, but instead I just got his ‘cheese’ face! Is this something all toddlers go through? I try to get him to say something else that doesn’t end up with so much of a grimace but we always just get ‘cheeeeeeese’!

  1. That ‘cheese face’ is just gorgeous. I often refer to J’s as being the Chandler Bing grimace and I’ll be gutted when she grows out of it! #LivingArrows

  2. Haha I love that cheese face. Olivia does one very similar when she is asked to smile. Toby looks totally obsorbed in writing his letter.
