It’s not very long since I wrote last week’s Living Arrows post so this is going to be a quick one. I’ve just noticed we’re on week 44 already – how are there only 8 weeks left until the end of the year?!

Toby and Gabe had a quiet week back at school. They both settled back in quickly, although Gabe seems super tired already and he’s just had a week off! I think he’s just going to be tired all year, he was only 4 a few months ago after all, and some of his classmates are almost a full year older than him.

Academically Gabe is doing really well. We’ve finally moved onto reading books with words and so our journey through the world of Biff, Chip and Kipper begins again! His writing is coming on as well and he can write his name now using proper pre-cursive letters.

We were super proud of both boys this week though as they were both given Mathematician of the Week for their respective classes. It was so cute seeing them standing next to each other in front of the whole school getting their certificates.

I mentioned last week that the boys were going to be staying with my parents on Friday. They were absolutely fine and slept all night with no problems…. so I wonder how soon we can pack them off again?!

I didn’t really have any photos from this week (apart from carving a couple of pumpkins we pretty much ignored Halloween so no costume pictures from us) so I grabbed these ones while the boys were having their Sunday morning bath. You can see on this one that Toby has lost another tooth – that makes 7 all together now!

They were both laughing because I’d asked them to cover their privates with a flannel so I didn’t get any inappropriate pictures. And of course being little boys they just thought it was hilarious to try and flash me instead!

Next weekend we’re back at forest school again, and we’re hoping to go to our local bonfire and fireworks too, as long as the rain holds off, so it’s going to be a weekend of wrapping up warm I think.
