Living Arrows 42/52 (2020)

Just one more week of school to go before the boys break up for half term and they are so ready for it! Gabe especially is very tired at the moment which comes out as being very emotional about everything.

On Saturday Toby and Gabe got up without us as they often do at the weekend – in fact they both let us both have a lie in until 10 o’clock, there are definitely benefits to them getting older!

After we were up and homework was done Gabe went in the garden with Daddy to plant some bulbs. He loves gardening, for 20 minutes or so at least! Toby isn’t really interested so we stayed inside and played with some LEGO instead.

We had swimming again on Sunday. There was a Halloween decoration in the entrance and Toby wanted his picture taken doing a spooky ghost face so here we are…

I’ll be back next week with another Living Arrows post. We haven’t really got any plans for half term – we’re under Tier 3 restrictions now so we can’t really go very far. We might manage a day out in the Lake District for a walk, and we’re thinking of taking the boys to see the Illuminations in Blackpool but other than that I think there will probably be just a lot of quiet time at home for us. And fingers crossed that it is only a week off and they get to go back to school afterwards!

This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .
