Living Arrows 40/52 (2019)

It’s another late Living Arrows post from me this week – mostly because I didn’t have any pictures to use! We really haven’t been up to much recently, just getting through the days with two very tired boys…

I eventually grabbed a couple of snaps of Toby and Gabe after school. Gabe loves to go and play outside in the half hour or so between eating tea and bedtime, even when it’s been raining all day and the grass is soggy. So the other day we just went and sat on the doorstep for a little bit and chatted about his day.

He’s such a loving little boy, always giving cuddles and telling us he loves us, I’ll be so sad when he eventually stops being like this, which I’m sure he will one day…

Toby is still doing really well at school, it seems like a bit of encouragement was all he needed. He even did the writing part of his homework, which he’s always struggled with, on his own and without any stress this week!

He’s been enjoying playing Guess Who? this week – although we’re still working on managing his frustrations when he doesn’t win but on the whole it’s been great to see him wanting to do something that doesn’t involve screens…

We’re going to family forest school this weekend so hopefully I’ll have some slightly more interesting pictures for you next week!

This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .

  1. Troy is still full of cuddles and love – I’m hoping it never stops, he’s hung on to it a lot longer than his friends. Gabe just looks so happy! x

  2. I always find this first half term a struggle. We have had a very similar weekend this weekend just gone. I think its needed this time of year. Good to hear that he’s doing great still and our youngest is the same very cute I am hoping it never stops! x
