Living Arrows 39/52 (2019)

Is it just me or are the weeks absolutely flying past at the moment? It feels like the boys only just went back to school but it’s October tomorrow already and we break up for half term in less than three weeks!

We’ve had another good week here. The change in Toby’s attitude has been nothing short of amazing! He still has his moments of course but he’s like a different boy. He brings homework home on a Thursday and it has to be back by the following Tuesday. Usually we do it over the weekend and it’s a bit of a battle but last week he came home from school on Thursday, did his homework straight away, and then did three more pages of maths, writing and then drew a picture of the Eiffel Tower and wrote a fact about it too!

I don’t know what has got into him but long may it continue!

I’ve struggled for pictures this week – with both boys at school, and a very rainy weekend there wasn’t much chance to take photos. On Saturday after we had been to swimming lessons, Barry took the boys up to see his mum, while I went to Manchester with my mum to see Malory Towers the Musical (which was ace by the way!)

I didn’t get back until the boys’ bedtime on Saturday, and then yesterday we had a quiet day at home. It was absolutely chucking it down all day so Toby and Gabe got their weekly PlayStation fix because they’re not allowed it on school days.

So both these pictures were taken while they were watching Daddy play on a rally driving game. They both love playing games themselves (mostly Minecraft!) but they enjoy watching other people play games that maybe they can’t do themselves yet too. I love how Gabe has got his hand on Barry’s knee in this picture. He’s so cuddly, and always wants to be touching someone. It’s super cute – I’ll be sad when he decides he’s too big for cuddles…

That’s it for this week I think – we’ve not got much on for the next week either apart from school photos, a haircut for me, and a visit to the doctor for Gabe to see if they can do anything about all the nosebleeds he keeps having!

  1. You’re not alone in your struggle to snap shots this week. With the weather and school, it’s just been bedlam, hasn’t it? Lovely pictures none the less and I didn’t realise it was only three weeks now until half term – yay!

  2. I’m struggling with pictures too lately with all this rain! Glad to hear you’ve had a good week though. Mine love a bit of Minecraft too! #LivingArrows
