I’m back again with another late Living Arrows post – I promise I’ll get back on track next week! We got back from our holiday late on Wednesday night, and I spent most of yesterday unpacking and getting all the washing done, so I’m only just getting around to writing this post.

If you read last week’s post you’ll know we were planning on going to Paris with the boys. We did make it and we had a really good, but very long and hot, day. I’m going to write a post all about it soon but in brief…. we went on an open top bus tour, saw the main sights, ate lunch at the Eiffel Tower, and ended the day with a McDonalds and my favourite Deluxe Potatoes!

Toby’s picture this week was taken on a carousel on Montmartre – it was 4 O’Clock by the time we got there and the boys were getting really tired so we didn’t walk up to Sacre Coeur but it was lovely to go and see it from a distance!

After a week in France on our own, my mum and dad arrived to stay on the campsite with us for the second part of our holiday. They had already been on holiday for a month in their caravan and so were spending a few days with us on their way back home.

One of the places we visited was a medieval town called Provins. It was a fab day out with loads to do and see (although we didn’t actually get to see a lot of it). Toby and Gabe were both pretty tired by the end of our holiday after a lot of late nights so their tolerance for looking at old buildings was limited!

We did enjoy our day out in Provins though – we had a ride on the Petit Train that takes you around the main sights of the town, and then we went to watch a falconry show which was fab. Barry managed to take some brilliant pictures of the birds so I’ll try and share some of them in another post.

Gabe’s picture this week was taken on our day out in Provins, on another carousel! Both boys seem to really like them, and they’re happy to go on by themselves now too…

We had a lovely holiday – the sun shone, we swam, ate ice cream and generally just relaxed and enjoyed the break (well as much as you can with two small children!) I think the boys were glad to be home though, to get back to their own beds and their beloved PlayStation!

We’ve got less than a week now before Toby goes back to school and Gabe starts in Reception. I still need to wash and label all their uniform (although I think I have got everything they need), and somehow I need to get them back into a routine of sensible bedtimes and getting up early!
