Living Arrows 24/52 (2020)

Here we are again. Another Monday, another Living Arrows post. And like most weeks I have nothing new to tell you this week really. The weather has been a bit rubbish all week so we haven’t even really been out of the house.

The boys (and us) did get a treat on Tuesday actually. They came with me to pick up our click and collect order from Tesco and we came home via McDonald’s Drive Thru. I had warned them that we might not be able to get it if the queue was too big but as it happened we hardly had to queue at all.

The weather picked up a bit this weekend so we managed to spend a bit of time in the garden again where I took this week’s pictures. Gabe’s was taken under what the boys call ‘the hidey tree’ – it’s a big weeping willow and the branches come right down to the ground.

The bear that Gabe has got used to be mine when I was young – we collected vouchers from our SodaStream bottles and got about six different stuffed toys, and for some reason I still have them all!

We haven’t had a trampoline picture for a few weeks so here’s one of Toby. I cut both the boys’ hair at the beginning of May but I think they’re both due another one soon!

That’s all from me for this week anyway, I hope you’re keeping safe and staying sane, and I’ll be back next week with another Living Arrows post.

This is my ninth year taking part in this linky celebrating childhood, based on a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” .

If you’d like to see the rest of my Living Arrows posts you can find them all here.

  1. That bear is in great condition! Iris has one that used to be her dads and it’s threadbare and has no nose!

You might not be getting out much but both boys look very happy and I’m a little bit jealous they got a McDonalds!

  2. My two are desperate to go to Macdonalds. But whenever we drive past the queue is sooooo long! Our weeks are all bluring into one too. Love the picture of Gabe under the tree x
