Living Arrows 22/53 (2018)

I’m a bit late with ts week’s Living Arrows post after spending a busy bank holiday/ birthday weekend with my family. We had a lovely afternoon out for on my birthday yesterday but I’m going to save the photos from that for next week. Last week was the last week of school before we got to a much needed half term break.

Toby had his sports day at school on Thursday. They had KS1 in the morning and with the KS2 classes watching, and then swapped over for the afternoon. It’s only quite a small school with one class in each year so they tend to know a lot of children in the other classes – they are split into four houses and it was lovely to see them all cheering on their teams.

Toby did the sack race, and the ‘bean bag on head’ race. Although he almost didn’t do the sack race because he’d managed to trap his finger between two chairs just before it and was feeling sorry for himself. His teacher was brilliant though and encouraged him to do it, then walked alongside him cheering him on for the whole race.

If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen this picture already but I love it so I just had to use it for this week’s Living Arrows post too. He might have finished last but I was so proud of Toby for trying his best right until the very end of the race. This was the moment he crossed the line…

We’ve been having a great run of weather for the last few weeks, it’s been really warm and sunny almost every day. On Friday though we had a day of rain – Gabe has his swimming lesson on a Friday which is why he’s wearing his onesie! How fab are his slipper socks that lovely people from Mocc-Ons sent him?

I hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday and half term if you’ve got it this week. Until next week…

  1. That looks like such a cosy and comforting outfit. I always finished last in sports day and I am still not convinced of their merits if I am honest and think they should be optional. #LivingArrows

  2. Oh my gosh – Gabe’s onesie!! I need it in my life. Navy, white and stars! Onesie of dreams. It sounds like Toby made such a great effort at sports day – and that photo is so cute! x
