After what felt like a week of constant rain we’ve had a lovely few days of sunshine here. The weather has been all over the place this month though, we never know what it’s going to do from one hour to the next! We’ve still got a week and a half of school to go before the holidays though so I’m hoping it sorts itself out before we go camping!

It’s just been another normal week for us – the boys are very set in their routine on school days so every day is the same really. They get up at 7 am every day, have breakfast, get dressed then they have about half an hour to play before we leave to walk to school. After school we walk home, then they get about 45 minutes each on the PlayStation or Switch before we eat our tea. After tea they play again (screen free this time), then we start getting ready for bed at 6:45 pm. Once they’ve got their pyjamas on and teeth brushed they both read their school reading books then it’s into bed for another story (usually read by Daddy). We do still take it in turns to sit with them until they fall asleep – we always have done and it works for us so we don’t mind really. I’m sure they’ll stop wanting us there eventually!

We have got a bit of a change to the routine tomorrow though – we’ve had to move the boys’ swimming lesson from the weekend to 5:20 on a Thursday afternoon. I’m not sure how it’s going to go when they’re not used to doing it at that time but hopefully it will only be a temporary change. Fingers crossed they can cope with it for a month or so.

I’ve mentioned a few times recently that the boys are both doing really well at school, and they enjoy being there too. Gabe was very pleased this week to get a Headteacher’s Hard Work award for his maths. They’ve been learning about fractions and he’s loving it!

Well I think that’s all for my slightly late Living Arrows post this week. The boys have got their first birthday party in over a year to go to this weekend, and their usual Street Monkeys class too. They’re both pretty tired now and ready for another break from school but hopefully we can plough through the next week and a half without too much over-tired drama!
