Living Arrows 17/53 (2018)

After another normal week here in the Toby Goes Bananas house (albeit a very busy one for me) I went away on Thursday night to The Retreat, a blogging event down in Somerset. This meant I left Toby and Gabe under Barry’s watchful eye for three nights, and three full days, which I think is the longest I have ever left them before.

To be honest I was so busy over the weekend that I barely had time to miss the boys, and by all accounts they didn’t miss me too much either! Gabe even slept (mostly) which has always been a problem when I’ve been away before. He did have a big nose bleed in bed on Saturday night (and another one this morning) which meant he spent the rest of the night in bed with Barry but on the whole he did really well.

As he often does if I go away, Barry took the boys up to the Lake District to see his mum and dad. The boys love going to see their Nana, especially because she always seems to have new toys for them to play with! I have to say I was quite glad that the recorder stayed at her house this time though…

Toby was having great fun too, playing with the latest squidgey toy… (he’s not being a cool dude with sweatbands on by the way – those are his sea bands to help stop him getting car sick!)

Anyway, I’m going to keep this post short and sweet this week and hopefully life will quieten down a bit more for me now and I can get back to blogging a bit more regularly, and next week’s Living Arrows post will be live on Monday morning as usual.

  1. It sounds like they managed pretty well without you – so you clearly need more weekends away! đŸ™‚ It was so lovely to see you last weekend – same again in a week! x

  2. I heard lots of good things about The Retreat – it’s nice to be able to get away and have some time to yourself and the kids sound like they had fun at the grandparents. #LivingArrows

  3. I hope you had a lovely time at the retreat, the photos looked amazing! Gorgeous photos of the boys too, I know exactly what you mean about the recorder though! Glad Gabe is sleeping better, it makes everything else a bit easier. I’m not going to blogon this time, but I really wish I was!
