Hello again! As I mentioned last week we’ve not had a lot of plans for these Easter holidays – we did make the most of the change in Covid regulations and go to see my mum and dad in their garden last week. We haven’t been there since last summer so the boys had fun looking around, and fishing weeds out of the pond – Toby did manage to find a newt as well though!

While we were at my mum and dad’s we went for a walk to the park round the corner. Someone had left loads of sticks by one of the trees so the boys built a den – I don’t know that it would really protect them from more than a shower but they had fun! It was one of the things Toby needed to do for one of his Beaver badges too so it was a win all round!

After the den building Toby did a bit of tree climbing too – I was really surprised, and proud, of how adventurous he was being. He can be quite nervous about heights and things sometimes, and although he wasn’t miles off the ground he was really confident with climbing…

We didn’t do much for the Easter weekend – we don’t really go in for big celebrations at Easter but we have done an egg hunt round the house for the last few years. This year I bought a set of puzzle clues off Etsy – it was only about £5 and was really good. It kept the boys occupied for a good hour and all I needed to do was some printing and cutting stuff out.

I hope you all had a good Easter and enjoy the rest of the school holidays whether the children go back next week like we do or you’ve still got another week to go. I’m hoping the weather sorts itself out soon – like much of the UK we’ve had snow and hail one minute and bright blue skies the next here!
