Back to school with Bassetts Vitamins Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles

**Post in association with Bassets Vitamins

Like children all around the country Toby and Gabe have just finished their first half term back at school after the summer. And with a return to school comes the tiredness from early mornings and long days. One way I know I can help the boys cope with that tiredness the best they can is to make sure they are getting all the necessary nutrients they need from a healthy balanced diet.

Toby thought these Bassetts vitamins were orange juicy

My two aren’t particularly fussy eaters, and they both love their veggies which I am eternally thankful for. Until I was well into my teens, and maybe even into my twenties the only vegetables I would eat were carrots and raw peas, and the only fruit that I ate was apples. I eat, and enjoy, lots more variety now but I’m glad we’ve not had the same struggle over fruit and veg that my parents had.

Having said that. It’s much easier during the holidays for me to make sure they are both getting a balanced and varied diet. When they’re back at school and nursery it’s much harder for me to keep a track of and I don’t actually know what they are eating half the time. Toby takes advantage of the free school dinners for KS1 pupils, and even though school provides us with a menu it never seems to match up with what Toby says he’s eaten, if he can remember any of it that is!

Gabe has only just started at his new nursery, and his meals are prepared by fully qualified chefs. The staff tell me at the end of the day what they have eaten but I still don’t really know what Gabe is getting, and how much of it he is eating. And that’s where Bassetts Vitamins Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles come in. Though I know they’re not a substitute for a healthy, balanced diet, giving the boys one soft and chewy pastille each in the mornings does reassure me that they’re getting some of the essential nutrients, including Vitamin B6 to support normal psychological function and Vitamin B5 which contributes to mental performance to support a smart way to start the day.

Now I have to confess we have been using a different brand of multivitamins which were strawberry flavour and the boys love them, so I wasn’t sure how they would react to these Bassetts Vitamins Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles. I needn’t have worried though – as soon as he’d eaten it I asked Toby what he thought and his reply was ‘orange juicy!’ Gabe didn’t articulate his thoughts quite as well but he did say he liked his multivitamin too, and he didn’t have any problems eating the chewy pastille either. So not only were the boys happy, but I was happy too, knowing they are getting all the benefits of Bassetts Vitamins’ much-loved multivitamins, including Vitamin B6 to support normal psychological function and Vitamin B5 which contributes to mental performance, but with added omega-3 and without any added sugar and with natural flavours and colours.

Bassetts Vitamins asked Toby and Gabe to try these new Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles to see if they liked them, and especially wanted to know what they thought about the orange flavour. They were asked to draw a picture of what they thought these multivitamins tasted like. I’m not sure Gabe quite understood the concept of drawing a taste, but he did draw this lovely bright sun in three shades of orange and I reckon that’s as good a description as any. After Toby’s ‘orange juicy’ comment there wasn’t much else he could draw except a delicious glass of orange juice!

Bassetts Vitamins Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles were a big hit with Toby and Gabe – they’ll definitely keep taking one every morning and I can send them off to school and nursery bright-eyed and bushy tailed ready for whatever the day throws at them!

  1. Before we discovered Bassetts, we were also getting the strawberry flavoured ones (I’m guessing they’re the same ones I used to buy), but I like these multivitamins because they have Omega-3 in them, and that’s definitely something we’re not getting enough of here. We only have fish once every couple of weeks or so.
