Remembering Childhood // Glossytots

It’s that time of week when another blogger is going to be sharing their childhood memories. This week’s Remembering Childhood comes from Faye at Glossytots.

Which decade were you born in?

The 80s- the best decade, right?

Glossy Tots

What is your earliest memory? How old were you?

I remember stropping at the age of three because I wasn’t allowed to put my tartan party dress on for my birthday until after breakfast!

What was your favourite toy at 5 years old? At 10?

At five years old it was my baby expressions doll! At ten I think it was my CD player as I used to love dancing around the bedroom.

Do you still have any toys from your childhood?

Yes, my daughter plays with “Oliver” my baby expressions doll.

Who was your favourite pop group/artist as a teenager?

The Spice Girls! I LOVED them. And Steps. Oh and Bewitched. I can’t choose!!

What was your favourite TV show(s)?

I used to love S Club Party, The Queen’s Nose and Neighbours.

What was the first film you remember seeing at the cinema?

Titanic. I was seven and I saw it seven times – three times with different boyfriends!

Do you have any dodgy haircut/ outfit memories that you’d rather forget?

I remember cutting all my hair off before straighteners were available and getting teased because it looked ridiculous!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A waitress on roller skates. Don’t ask – I think I had been to Planet Hollywood!

If you could go back to being a child again what would you do?

Learn to love my life without worry and responsibility.

Thanks for sharing your memories Faye  – I had totally forgotten that S Club 7 started on a TV show!
